My name is Svetlana. My friends call me ”Svet”, which in Russian stands for ”light”. With such a name, what could be more natural than to practice photography?
I'm a humanist, and I am very sensitive to the emotions and inner world of those I am around. I also possess a passion about the visual arts. When I shoot portraits, these elements are joined to create a unique and powerful imaginative energy.
I came to photography with a rich and diverse artistic background that significantly influences the way I take pictures. I have been writing poetry for years, and delivering my poems in the form of live performances. My background as a poet is expressed in the creative energy of my portraits, as well as in my long-term photo projects.
I am happy to have been trained by a reputed portrait photographer: Sergei Sarakhanov. Also, with my 20-year background in theatrical arts, and as a speaking coach, I possess the ability to assist my models in expressing the best of themselves! In fact, I have also worked as a photo model; notably in Moscow and Paris. This experience supports my unique perspective in bringing out the minute details of posing in the best postures.
My vision is that a photograph should be an expression of life and sincerity. What I really love about taking pictures is capturing natural and warm moments that reflect the depth of your personality; your profound human and spiritual values. During a session, we will talk and get to know more about each other. Apart from taking beautiful pictures of you, my goal is that we spend a pleasant, warm, fun and fruitful time working together.
